I wanted to take some time to share some tips on how to jump higher. There is a lot of little things you can do, right now, that will help improve your jumping. A lot of people assume that they’re cursed by genetics, that they’ll never be able to jump that high. This is all just baloney. Some people are born with things in place, but you have the ability to train your body to be able to achieve great things and jumping is one of them. I’m going to show you exactly what you need to do to be successful at this.
My first tip on jumping higher is a relatively overlooked exercise because most people don’t assume it works. The exercise is squats. A lot of people look at this as something that works your quads and glutes, but it actually does a great job at working your calves too. If you get down to the actual movements of a squat, it’s a slow motion weighted jump.
Another tip on how to jump higher is the tip of your toe technique. This is a little different and it’s a lot harder than you think. Can you walk around on the tips of your toes for a full 30 minutes? How about walking backwards like that? This is a tough one, but it’s typically these tough ones that have the most impact on the way you jump. You want to get your calf muscles as strong as they can be, so you get much more push off when you jump.
